FROND begins as a solo craft workshop in 2019, founded by Kyounghwa. She majored in fashion design in college. While enjoying the major, she was also interested in various other fields during her school years. After graduating, she worked in film costume design, and later transitioned to a completely different field, working as a baker. As time went on, she discovered her interest in studying how to make chairs, which was something she had been fond of back in college. After completing a program at a furniture workshop academy, she began wood crafting.

At Frond, every step of the process, from start to finish, is a product of our ideas and hands. Drawing inspiration from nature, Frond's ideas are combined with the properties of wood to create products that are both beautiful and practical.
